Friday 25th February
We left Apollo Bay this morning with Jenny driving. She drove us to Lavers Hill where we stopped for a while. We then drove on to the 12 Apostles. These are stacks of rock that have been eroded by the sea. Some say that they are one of the great wonders of the world.
This is the first time that we have seen a lot of other tourists. There were locals, Japanese, Germans and us. We took far too many pictures here so here are just a couple.

Lunch was in Port Campbell. It is a nice little town. We found a restaurant which had a view into the bay. It looks like it makes an ideal harbour for boats to stay.
We then drove on to London Bridge. This is another rock stack. It was connected to the mainland until the 1990's when one arch fell into the sea. It must have been quite a shock for the people who were stranded on the bridge for the next few hours.

We then went through Peterborough on our way to the Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs and Boat Bay. From there it was on to Warrnambool. Here we are near the end of the Great Ocean Road. We check into a motel room. The motel has a swimming pool and spa bath which is a plus. Jenny did a few lengths of the pool and joined me in the spa bath. We had a quiet night in with a take away pizza - the first pizza in Australia. We had thought we might have to have pizza quite often as there might be little vegetarian food but that was not the case. I am sure that Warrnambool does have some very nice places but we seemed to miss them. Perhaps we will find them next time.
